The last batch of New Nordic Leads startup program has kicked off with 35 innovative companies. Aside from being in the pipeline for cross-border investment, the selected startups will go through a tailored 8-week investment readiness program facilitated by EstBAN and FiBAN. These growth-oriented startups are ready to reach new heights with a record-breaking number of New Nordic Leads mentors.
The startups selected in the program come from 5 different countries, most of them located either in Estonia or Finland, seeking strategic guidance, connections, and mentors with specific industry knowledge. We are especially proud that mixed-gender founder teams make up 37% of the teams accepted to the program, which is higher than in the previous batch.
During the 8-week program these promising startups will go through a series of training sessions and talks that provide the founders know-how and tools on attracting angel investors. The covered topics include e.g. investors’ mindset, founders’ health, performance management, and startup financials. Altogether 42 mentors will be supporting the startups with 1-on-1 mentoring tailor-made for each startups’ needs. You can find the list of our New Nordic Leads trainers and topics here.
In May, the most promising startups pitch at the Latitude59 side event in Tallinn with the aim of successfully closing a cross-border deal.
