Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Jaan Tallinn and Kärt Siilats join Angel Summit as speakers!

We’re unbelievably happy to announce that Toomas Hendrik Ilves, former president of Estonian Republic, joins EstBAN10 Angel Summit with Jaan Tallinn to discuss the impact of past decisions to Estonian tech ecosystem as well as the opportunities for the future. 

If there is a need for introductions, then in addition to his presidency in 2006-2016, Toomas Hendrik Ilves has served in several high positions in the field of ICT in the European Union – a Chairman of the EU Task Force on eHealth, and the European Cloud Partnership Steering Board, as the chair of World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Cyber Security etc, to name a few. He is currently a visiting fellow in Stanford University and actively advocating for cyber security and digital innovation in e-government.

Jaan Tallinn is a founding engineer of Skype and Kazaa. Tallinn is also a co-founder of the Cambridge Centre for the Study of Existential Risk, Future of Life Institute, and philanthropically supports other existential risk research organisations. 

In addition to the previously mentioned exciting panelists, Kart Siilats will be giving a keynote about accessing the tech investment post-seed stage. Kart is a highly experienced venture capital professional with investment banking background and finance-focused MBA degree specialising in f Kart co-founded mojo.capital in 2013 after a career in Citigroup, Barclays and EIF. Mojo.capital has invested in over twenty best VC fund managers in Europe and also directly in companies like Wise, Veriff, Tink, iZettle, etc. In 2019 Kart co-founded GoBeyond Capital to help hyperscaling earlier stage founders in emerging European countries and sectors that drive positive change for the world.
