EstBAN is looking for an interim Managing Director to take over the management of EstBAN and develop the organisation further.

Estonian Business Angels Network (EstBAN) is an umbrella organisation of early stage private investors interested in providing financing, time and network for innovative high-growth companies in Estonia and neighbouring countries. EstBAN has been operating since 2012 and has ca 300+ angel investors, VC fund members and partners. EstBAN is looking for an Interim Managing Director.

You are the best candidate, if you
  • Have a good overview of the Estonian startup ecosystem;
  • Understand investor-readiness for angel investments; 
  • Want to develop an early investments market;
  • Enjoy operational management and communications;
  • Like public speaking and presenting; 
  • Can manage with numbers for budgeting and reporting; 
  • Are fluent in English, Estonian and investment terminology;
Your key responsibilities include
  • Developing EstBAN as an organization and network – leading the organization, ensuring all projects and initiatives are aligned with our strategic goals.
  • Manage the 2-member team and work closely with our 7-member board of directors to advise on and implement policy, planning, and strategy.
  • Coordinating and finding new international cooperation projects; 
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Representing EstBAN in the ecosystem and to stakeholders, partners, and the public.
  • Maintain the organization’s culture and values, ensuring a positive, productive work environment.

Note: This position is a temporary role intended to cover maternity leave. The anticipated duration of the assignment is ca 18 months, with the possibility of extension depending on the previous CEO’s return.
