In October, EstBAN network can now officially say that we’re 300 members strong! Here is a long sneak peek of our new members who joined us this year. Welcome!
We are happy to have welcomed Ragmar Saksing, the Green Tech sector Lead of Tehnopol as a member of EstBAN. He is an adventurer, visionary and a greentech wayfarer. Aivar Laan from Sony Music, is one of the few experts in our network representing the music and festival industry. Having decades of experience in organising and promoting 2000+ events and festivals, he can truly be called an expert in entertainment, cinema, venue & property development.
The network is full of versatile individuals with all sorts of entrepreneurial sector experience.
Indrek Järma is a former CEO & founder of leading wine retail chain in Estonia. Mikk Oja, a co-founder of DevNinja, has vast experience in building, implementing and managing complex and business critical software applications. Priit Martinson is a board member in a company called SensusQ, a former diplomat in China as well as has years of experience of working in PwC as a Director of GovTech. his interest is recently booing sector of defence and dualtech. Sten-Erik Mägus is the Head of Ecosystem Development at Guardtime and is directly investing into digital currencies and real estate. Having an affiliation with Guardtime, he can help to bridge the govtech sector for the angels.
Taavi Tammoja is an addition with the extensive experience as a legal and tax advisor with a strong network of entrepreneurs interested in Estonia. Among new joiners are also Sixten Sepp, Kalev Reiljan, Martin Raadik.
We are exceptionally thankful to have new members, who are women – Kadri Koplimäe, a real estate sector specialist and Piret Kübbar , both of whom bring their CFO expertise to the network. Kadri Kaasik also joined and is helping e-residents set up their activites in Estonia.
Marko Lehes, is returning to EstBAN after a few years break. Marko is well experienced in Medtech and real estate. Marek Mühlberg, an active member in the startup ecosystem has also joined the ranks. Martin Lepa and Tiit Tähnas who are joining us after going through the educational study program co-hosted with our partner Swedbank.
EstBAN has also lucky to have a few international members who’ve joined us from various backgrounds with the desire to learn more about angel investing in Estonia, expand their network and also bring in their global connections. Welcoming Alexander van der Kooij from the Netherlands, Miguel Sanchez Miguel from Spain, James S. York who will bring North-American network and enthusiasm to the table, Christian Wirth is German and another big fan of our country and startup ecosystem. Talal Almoayed is based in Dubai and a partner in an international venture capital fund.
In addition to those individuals, we have new fund members to join EstBAN – Firstpick, Practica Capital, Depo Ventures, Iron Wolf Capital, and a few more to be added that are not yet annuounced.
